Premier d’une série d’étude des des propriétés de fibres diverses tissées et de leur qualités lors du transfert sur papier. Chaque estampe est formé d’un tissage dont l’encre est fabriqué à partir de pigment issu de la terre et de deux chiné collée teints à partir de fleurs.

Handwoven on a floor loom with cotton.

First in a series of studies exploring the properties of various woven fibres and their qualities when transferred to paper. Each print is composed of a woven fabric in which the ink is made from pigment derived from the earth, and two glued chiné collé papers dyed with flowers.
